DiverseCity is a joint project of Maytree and the Toronto City Summit Alliance.
Maytree is a private charitable foundation that promotes equity and prosperity through leadership building.
The Toronto City Summit Alliance is a multi-sector coalition working to meet the Toronto region’s challenges.
The eight initiatives that comprise the project are led by a steering committee of prominent individuals in the GTA who recognize the value and potential of diversity in leadership for the region’s social and economic prosperity. They have come together to support and develop solutions that will address the under-representation of ethnic and racial groups in leadership positions in the GTA.
We are also recruiting partners. Organizations and institutions are invited to join us by registering their commitment to our aims and promoting the project. We will compile our list of partners and post it to this website.
Our background research and annual report card are produced by Ryerson University’s Diversity Institute in Management and Technology.
The Value of Diverse Leadership report was prepared by The Conference Board of Canada.
